Paralegal

A legal services firm is New Jersey is currently seeking a certified Paralegal for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Paralegal will be responsible for supporting the firm's Attorneys in all aspects of patent prosecution.

Responsibilities:

The Paralegal will be responsible for:

• Conducting patentability searches, prior art searches, and patent landscape analysis
• Preparing and filing patent applications, responses to office actions, and other documents with the USPTO
• Reviewing and analyzing patent and non-patent literature
• Conducting legal and factual research related to patents
• Assisting with patent litigation matters, including document review and preparation of legal filings
• Communicating with clients and foreign associates regarding patent prosecution matters
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Legal experience
• Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
• Intellectual property and patents experience
• Familiarity with USPTO rules and procedures
• Solid analytical and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
