Our client is a prominent electronic and electrical connection technology specialist who manufactures and distributes a comprehensive range of products and services to many industries such as automotive, railway vehicle and track technology, material handling, control systems, and more. A privately-owned Germany-based company, our client has been operating for decades and currently maintains five subsidiaries in the United States and across Europe, and has a solid complementing network of importers, representatives, and distributors globally.


To support the company’s growth in the US, our client is looking for a dynamic and goal-driven Sr. Manager / Director of Sales who will lead and manage all sales, marketing, business development, and key account management activities for the US subsidiary that would help expand and deepen the company’s penetration within the region.


Key responsibilities:

  • Co-develop and implement a strategic business plan for driving growth, including developing business cases, target markets/customers, financial expectations, resource requirements, and a delivery model.
  • Participate in formulating long and short-term goals and objectives for the sales organization and the organization at large.
  • Support the development and execution of product positioning strategies that result in outstanding brand awareness.
  • Maintain and expand core business and strategically identify and build new business.
  • Build and foster senior-level relationships with key OEM accounts that currently represent a significant portion of overall sales.
  • Optimize and expand partner network (dealers/distributors/reps).
  • Manage the negotiation of contracts.
  • Maintain competitive information, market knowledge, and technology trends regarding the pattern of demand, sales forecast, and developments.
  • Coordinate projects with management and internal sales team within US and global sites.
  • Report regularly to sales management.
  • Provide outstanding customer support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Key qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or any related discipline is required.
  • A graduate degree or an MBA would be an advantage.
  • Extensive background or experience within the electrical / electromechanical industry is required for this role.
  • Background in electrical and electronic connection and cable management technology is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience in multiple sales channels, especially dealer networks, manufacturers’ representatives, and project sales.
  • Technical aptitude and experience with electrical/electronic components and their applications as well as the ability to work with mechanical and electrical engineers would be of great advantage.
  • Must have demonstrated success in building and managing key strategic accounts.
  • Global perspective and awareness, and direct experience working across diverse cultures would be beneficial.
