Dolan McEniry Capital Management, a Chicago based investment management company, is looking to hire an entry-level, fixed income operations associate.


Dolan McEniry provides discretionary investment management services to foundations, endowments, public pensions, Taft-Hartley accounts, corporations, sovereign nations, high net worth individuals, charitable organizations, wrap clients and other pooled investment vehicles (e.g. UCITS, registered investment companies). Dolan McEniry also provides sub-advisory services to private funds. Located in Chicago, Dolan McEniry Capital Management is a private firm specializing in investment grade and high yield fixed income. We currently manage over $10 billion in assets for our clients.


The Operations Associate will be responsible for performing all aspects of the trade operations cycle, including opening/closing accounts; settlement of fixed income trades; communicating with brokers, custodians and internal personnel; reconciliation of client accounts to custodial records. Responsibilities also include calculating and/or reviewing price and performance variations, assisting with the firm’s GIPS verification process, and working with the team on special projects.


This individual will have responsibility for the day-to-day operations at Dolan McEniry and this is a valued position with a unique, well-positioned investment management organization. It is exceedingly important that this individual be hard working, diligent, and painstakingly attentive to detail. This person should present herself or himself professionally at all times and have the highest standards of integrity and honesty. In a boutique firm, each professional is required to contribute in a variety of ways that may change over time. Hence, a flexible attitude and orientation toward teamwork are prerequisites. Dolan McEniry seeks to build efficiencies through automation wherever possible. The ideal candidate would have strong quantitative and technical skills. Experience with portfolio accounting systems—especially Advent Portfolio Exchange, advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables), VBA, SQL or other scripting languages is a plus.


College degree in a quantitative field of study from an accredited four-year university/college is required.


This is an entry-level position in which a successful candidate can grow in experience and responsibility.
