Environment:
Our client is a large Medical Device company looking for an EHS Consultant to support an R&D site.
Duties/Responsibilities/Scope of Work:
This consultant should have a strong background in environmental compliance, safety, chemistry, industrial hygiene and R&D environment within medical device. The work is beaker scale and done within a fume hood by using acids to etch and passivate stent wires with nitric, citric, methane sulfonic, fluoroboric, boric and hydrofluoric acid. The consultant will not have to do this process or work with the chemicals, they will be responsible for overseeing the operation and coordinating waste disposal to ensure it is done properly. They will assist in doing the written procedures for lockout tagout. It would be beneficial for the consultant to understand ionizing and non-ionizing radiation to be able to assist the radiation officer.
- Required:EHS Experience (10+ years)
- Chemistry & Industrial Hygiene background
- Experience with waste disposal of chemicals listed above
- Experience working in an R&D environment
- Experience writing lockout tagout procedures
