Job Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified Solutions Engineer with a strong background in data governance, technical expertise, and customer engagement. Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish is essential for this role, as it involves frequent communication with Spanish-speaking clients, partners, and team members. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of business and technical challenges solvable by data governance, a passion for technology, and the ability to tailor solutions to meet specific client needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product demonstrations and discovery calls to understand client requirements for OvalEdge clients in the US and South America.

  • Provide in-depth product knowledge and expertise to support the Sales team during the presales process.
  • Gather and analyze requirements from key stakeholders, including prospective and existing clients, to offer effective governance solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between OvalEdge’s Sales, Business Development, and Engineering teams.
  • Design and recommend solutions that align with data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Provide technical documentation, proposals, and responses to RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in industry conferences, with occasional travel required.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish (including technical terminology).
  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in information systems, data governance, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in data governance, BI analytics, or data management.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with SQL Server and related tools.
  • Understanding of data integration and ETL tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data quality management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with BI platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or similar for reporting and analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
  • Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Understanding of APIs for integrating data governance solutions with other systems.
  • Awareness of data security principles, including encryption and access controls.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for data governance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and addressing technical and business-focused issues.
  • Excellent presentation skills, capable of clearly communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and persuasive technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies for presales activities and implementation projects.
  • Team player with a client-first mindset and strong attention to detail.
