Our client, initially founded in 1980 as a cosmetics company, has evolved into a leader and one of the most recognized brands within the Vitamin, Mineral and Supplement category. The company is considered a pioneer in formulating food into medicinal supplements for better health and wellness, helping to form the Nutraceuticals industry. Nutraceuticals are food components—such as minerals, vitamins, amino acids, hormones—used for medicinal purposes. The Senior Sales Planning Manager is tasked with building effective sales plans, providing efficient trade budgeting, building merchandise/incremental volume forecasts, and developing new item launch plans. Tenure in CPG sales planning is REQUIRED. **REMOTE** excluding east coast.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive annual merchandising depth and frequency planning process
  • Lead account planning; ensure account plans are completed for top customers
  • Manage KPI’s for customers and market performance indicators
  • Drive channel strategy, product, price, promotion, and shelving
  • Plan trade budgets and monitor spend rates to balance to zero
  • Establish budgets & objectives; establish approval process including ROI review
  • Assess results to determine impact and effectiveness of trade/customer marketing programs
  • Own sales forecast for all new item launches
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop channel (and account) specific launch plan including MSRP guidance, trade depth and frequency plan, shopper marketing integration, distribution targets, etc.
  • Create new product sales tool kits to ensure successful new product launches
  • Partner with analytics team to create market-based sales tools based on syndicated data as well as consumer insights to provide selling tools to improve in market execution
