Job Title: MES Engineer – ERP Implementation

Location: Ivyland, PA (Suburb of Philadelphia)

Relocation: YES – If needed client will offer a sign on Bonus for relocation assistance

Compensation:Salary range $120K - $150K + Stock Options.

Our client is a growing company in the wearable Medical Device Industry. They have been in business for 8 years with around 100 employees. They are pioneering innovative next-generation treatment devices for personal health monitoring.

This is an integrated R&D, development and manufacture company using state of the art systems for a pioneering product in the medical device industry.

Group Info: Be part of the R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing Development team of 10 technical people. This role will report to the Director, Manufacturing Engineering.

Note 1: The MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software used is Aegis - FactoryLogix integrated into the complete business ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software system using Oracle – NetSuite.

Note 2: The right person will need to have MES experience. Candidates with only Automation PLC/DCS/HMI experience without any MES or ERP will not be considered.

Summary:

Seeking to hire an Enterprise Implementation / MES Engineer.

The ideal candidate has experience in the implementation of MES and/or Enterprise Software and can integrate manufacturing specification and quality inspection processes, effectively eliminating the need for written/paper data collection and analytics.

Validation of the integration process is required.

Work with a team of manufacturing engineers and other stakeholders.

Job Description:

Lead the design, development, documentation, testing, and implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Plan and Implement AEGIS Factorylogix MES system tailored to the manufacturing processes and operations, resulting in an effective and regulatory compliant paperless process. Lead and directly contribute to the implementation in collaboration with a cross-functional team

Author documents to develop MES workflow and Configure Electronic Batch Records (EBR) to aid in the MES implementation process

Participate in the testing of the MES and provide hands-on support to Manufacturing on the use of the MES

Coordinate and align within the Engineering staff, end users and IT team, and software vendor to optimize usability and resolve issues

Ensure the seamless integration of the MES system with other business systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software

Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the MES system. Monitor system performance, address technical issues, and implement upgrades or modifications when necessary to ensure smooth operations

Develop analytics for operational data collected from various sources such as machines, equipment, and sensors to enhance the production process and optimize operation

Candidate Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in MES applications for manufacturing industry and handling MES integration with other systems/packages
  • Experience starting up New MES system from ground up as needed in this role
  • Prior and current experience with MES implementation in a manufacturing domain required
  • Independent, self-starter who works cross functionally with other functions, engineering, operations, IT, and quality
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES), relational databases, and workflows
  • Proven ability to develop current state process mapping, target state process definition, and business and functional requirement specifications for generating MES implementation plan
  • Requires interdisciplinary knowledge in industrial automation and manufacturing IT, as well as extensive experience with production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are crucial for identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies

Candidate Nice to Have:

  • Experience with MES - AEGIS/FactoryLogix and ERP - Oracle/NetSuite
  • Knowledge and experience working in a GMP/GDP environment
  • Experience in Medical Device / Life Science Industry
  • with CSV (Computerized systems validation).

SMT (Surface Mount Technologies) in PCB Assembly and Batch Processing experience

  • Experience with MES integration to ERP application.

Experience with any factory automation system using PLC/DCS/HMI.
