Job Overview:

The Director of Social Media is responsible for developing and implementing an effective social media and influencer marketing strategy to enhance the organization's online presence, engage with target audiences, and drive brand awareness and loyalty. This role involves overseeing the social media and influencer marketing team, managing social media campaigns, analyzing metrics, and staying up to date with industry trends. The Director of Social Media also collaborates with cross-functional teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing and communication goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify target audiences and create content plans to increase engagement, followers and brand awareness.
  • Lead and manage the social media and influencer marketing team; set clear objectives, provide guidance, foster collaboration and career growth, and evaluate team performance.
  • Oversee the creation and curation of compelling and relevant content across various social media channels ensuring content is optimized for each platform, adheres to brand guidelines, and resonates with the target audience.
  • Develop and execute social media campaigns to promote products, launches, events, or initiatives; collaborate with brand marketing and creative teams to create impactful campaigns that generate engagement, increase reach, and drive conversions.
  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Secure, negotiate and sign strategic brand and licensing partnerships with celebrities and brands to drive awareness and increase sales
  • Mange and cultivate relationships between licensors, brands and talent agents, stylists and celebrity fans of the brand.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all social media platforms and ensure messaging aligns with the organization's brand identity.
  • Stay on the pulse of emerging social media trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Recommend and implement innovative strategies to enhance the organization's social media presence and engagement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in social media management in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and trends.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing successful social media growth strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools and ability to interpret data.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content ideas.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
