We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing engaging, effective, and innovative learning experiences across multiple delivery formats, including online, hybrid, and in-person courses. This role requires a deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and experience with various educational technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Course Design & Development:

- Design, develop, and implement high-quality instructional materials and courses that align with learning objectives.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify target audience needs and content requirements.

- Utilize multimedia elements (videos, interactive simulations, quizzes, etc.) to enhance the learning experience.

- Online & Hybrid Learning:

- Develop online and hybrid courses using learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning tools.

- Create interactive and adaptive learning experiences that promote learner engagement and retention.

- Ensure content is accessible and meets all ADA compliance standards.

- In-Person Learning:

- Design instructional materials and activities for face-to-face learning environments.

- Develop facilitator guides, learner materials, and assessment tools to support in-person instruction.

- Integrate technology and active learning strategies into traditional classroom settings.

- Assessment & Evaluation:

- Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of instructional materials and courses.

- Conduct formative and summative evaluations to gather feedback and refine course content.

- Analyze learning data to make informed decisions about course improvements.

- Project Management:

- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including faculty, IT, and multimedia specialists to deliver cohesive learning experiences.

- Maintain detailed documentation of all instructional design processes and decisions.

- Professional Development:

- Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in instructional design, e-learning, and adult education.

- Provide training and support to faculty and staff on instructional design principles and technologies.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Experience:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in higher education or corporate training.

- Proven experience in designing and developing online, hybrid, and in-person courses.

- Strong portfolio showcasing instructional design projects across different formats.

- Skills:

- Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate).

- Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and assessment strategies.

- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of ADA compliance and accessibility standards in education.

- Familiarity with multimedia tools (e.g., video editing, graphic design) is a plus.
