Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our CLIENTS team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine land boundaries, topography, and other physical features. This role requires proficiency in various surveying techniques and tools, including GPS technology and software applications. The Surveyor will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide accurate data for projects.

Duties

  • Performing field work including construction layout, topographic data collection, boundary research, ALTA surveys and utility research.
  • Performing office work including boundary and control calculations, CAD LiDAR processing and extraction, field data processing and construction layout calculations.
  • Assisting supervisor with completing tasks as assigned to deliver quality projects on schedule.
  • Conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as Trimble and GPS systems.
  • Collect and analyze data related to land features, boundaries, and elevations.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and maps using software such as MicroStation and ArcGIS.
  • Draft reports summarizing survey findings and recommendations.
  • Utilize geometry, algebra, and trigonometry to calculate measurements and ensure accuracy in data collection.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide necessary survey information for planning and development purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards during all survey activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Surveyor or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in surveying tools and technologies, including GPS systems and data collection methods.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as MicroStation and ArcGIS is highly desirable.
  • Strong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of geometry, algebra, and trigonometry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-specialists.
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying, Geomatics, Land Surveying or Surveying Engineering.
  • Typically, zero (0) to ten (10) years of experience in a related field, but with limited certifications and no professional licenses necessary.
  • A valid Driver’s License
