We are seeking for our Sister Company ZIVAN, a dedicated Application Engineer for the US ZIVAN market.

The resource will be responsible for supporting prototype and production applications through knowledge of vehicle systems and troubleshooting skills.

He/she will ensure the present and future operation of ZIVAN products by flawlessly executing product adaptation to create end-user value and meet OEM customer requirements.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Emulation, debugging and startup of Zivan applications and systems;
  • Document new application projects for future reference;
  • Project management;
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Zivan products and a perspective of industry practice;
  • Provide technical support for sales and marketing;
  • Hands-on lab and prototype work;
  • Solve customer application problems in a timely manner;
  • Follow and improve Application Engineering area processes; contribute to the enhancement of procedures to ensure high quality results on a repeatable basis;
  • Work closely with the sales organization to identify new product opportunities; qualify, develop and champion development of our production offering (by application);
  • Identify and enhance the company’s competitive advantage and/or barriers to entry;
  • Take on the role of key technical expert for customers;
  • Design and debug demonstration and/or evaluation hardware for new products;
  • Gather data needed for competitive analysis or product development direction;
  • Work cooperatively, constructively, and productively within a culturally diverse, high-growth entrepreneurial environment;
  • Perform special studies and tests as needed by customers;
  • Technical sales and customer support.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NECESSARY:

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills.

High level of analytical and methodological skills aimed at problem solving. Excellent skills and good disposition to work directly with customers to solve complex technical problems.


Significant prior experience in integrated electric vehicle charger configuration activities, general knowledge of chargers and how to solve problems by "fine-tuning" a charger/vehicle system and charging room.


Hands-on lab experience: system wiring and safety.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

Ability to read, analyze, interpret and understand electrical and electronic schematics.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, read/write technical manuals as needed.


Natural proactivity, positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team aimed at developing strong professional relationships both within and outside the team designed to facilitate good communication.


Ability to effectively present information and respond promptly to questions from groups, managers, customers and the general public.


Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations where there is only limited standardization.


Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or program form.


Self-driven and able to work in a professional environment with limited direct supervision.

Willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally on an occasional basis.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Prior experience in the role and in similar fields is appreciated.
