Lead Technician

Job Description: The role of Lead Technician will utilize their current skillset to complete new project installations, day-to-day field service, and occasionally assist the Programming & IT (PIT) team. This role will primarily work in the field, in the geographical location where they reside. There are also occasions where travel to our clients around the country may be requested. This integrated role will facilitate the Lead Technician in advancing their technical skills. A lead tech can perform installations and service independently or with a team.

Key Competencies

  • Ability to complete essential network troubleshooting. (i.e. wiring qualification, ping, traceroute, etc.)
  • Basic Savant, Control4, or other control system programming skills.
  • Basic Lutron and/or Vantage programming skills.
  • Knowledge and execution of AV industry standards and best practices.
  • Expertise in installing and deploying audio, video, and IP networking systems.
  • Ability to speak directly with clients and builders and work with the PM team.
