Who are you?


We're looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Cost Estimator to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you'll work alongside our architecture, design, and sales teams as you oversee the estimating process from A to Z. You'll also play a key role in building out the workflows, standard operating procedures, and strategies we implement as we grow into the future.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Oversee the entire estimating process, including preparing detailed bid packages and ensuring accurate submissions from subcontractors.
  • Review plans and drawings, develop detailed scopes of work, and prepare take-offs and material cost estimates.
  • Consult with internal architecture and design teams, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues.
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for project tasks to help reduce and save on material costs.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with clients throughout the entirety of the project, meeting with them regularly to resolve issues and ensure final project satisfaction.
  • Analyze completed projects, comparing estimated cost vs. actual costs to help define and implement estimation strategies moving forward.


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in construction estimation; residential experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, formulating and defining project scope and estimates when given minimal direction.
  • Proficient at reading construction design plans and specifications.
