Delmonico Grill in Rapid City, South Dakota is the best fine dining steakhouse restaurant in Rapid City and arguably the Black Hills of South Dakota.

We offer a fine dining experience, exceptional atmosphere, and outstanding service. As a steakhouse, we strive for high-quality proteins, as locally sourced as possible and use classic techniques such as in-house dry aging and a wood-fire grill to bring exceptional grill fare to your plate.


About you


The ideal candidate will have a background in kitchen leadership, having worked as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Lead Line Cook or similar role. Ideal candidates will have worked in a steakhouse, chophouse or grill setting, and will be a master of working a hot grill on a busy night. Finally, the ideal candidate will have a command of clean but elevated plating, being able to present food in a way that is thoughtful, composed, and "neat."


Duties include, but may not be limited to:

  • Act as top kitchen authority in the absence of the Chef De Cuisine and Executive Chef.
  • Work with the General Manager and/or floor manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs.
  • Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
  • Resolve customer problems and concerns personally.
  • Monitor and record inventory, assist with food and equipment orders as needed.
  • Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
  • Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.
  • Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance.
  • Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
  • Become proficient in all stations on the line, being able to jump into each as needed.
  • Utilizing manager log's, group emails, and other team communication resources.
  • In all ways, modeling ideal professional behavior to your team.

Qualifications:

  • 2 year's minimum experience in kitchen leadership.
  • 2 year minimum experience working in a steakhouse setting and possessing a command of the grill.
  • Must live in the Rapid City area or plan to be here by March 15'th, 2024.
  • 50 hour a week availability with a largely PM schedule.
  • Weekend availability (mandatory).
  • High school diploma.
  • A valid driver's license.
