Job Summary

The Procurement Analyst (Direct) will report to the Director of Purchasing (Direct). The Procurement Analyst will interact with various team members within the supply chain group. The Procurement Analyst will maintain data in SAP (lead time, safety stock, purchase info records, etc.) as well as have a focus to ensure our data is current and up to date. The Procurement Analyst will focus on a strategic approach to procurement data and will contribute to the organization's efficiency, profitability, and overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers
  • Ascertain and have the ability to analyze all material groups within Direct Procurement
  • Aid in the Team’s tactical need of supplier and product maintenance within SAP.
  • Build experience in various analytic tasks such as run-out analysis, forecast analysis, and TCO
  • Track the department’s Key Performance Indicator’s including: cost savings, spend under contract, training hours, audit schedules, lost early payment discounts, days payable outstanding, MRP compliance, as well as inventory tracking
  • SAP data maintenance for Direct Procurement, including: material master management, pricing uploads/downloads, purchase info records, deletion flags of unused raw materials, freight conditions, quota arrangements, various relation monthly tracking needs (ex. Excise Tax and Spill Tax)
  • This role will be responsible for maintaining supplier pricing, aiding with various Planning report analysis and action plans, tracking and maintaining various department KPI’s such as cost savings, contract summaries
  • Responsible for using and understanding our systems (contract management, data analytics, etc.) will be a must.
  • Collaborate with the team on analytics surrounding commodities shortages.
  • Have the ability to learn and understand global commodities such as Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Propylene, Ethylene
  • Maintenance of monthly reports to upper and senior management/leadership Performs other duties as required


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in field of Business, Engineering, Sciences or Supply Chain Management
  • 1-3 Years of experience
  • Industrial manufacturing and/or Business Management experience
  • Required experience in the use of SAP
  • Preferred experience in contract management systems, and data analytic systems
  • Strong cost analysis skills that include the ability to prepare monthly supply reports for management to review
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Suite
  • Strong working knowledge in Excel, inclusive of Vlook-ups and pivot table
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-centricity focus
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with a strong attention to detail
