Our client in Glen Rock, NJ has an immediate need for a Sr. Systems Architect/VP level. Please note that this is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity with our client and NOT with Core BTS.

***Qualified candidates MUST be able to commute to the job site 3 days a week in Glen Rock, NJ for this hybrid work environment. ***


The Sr. Systems Architect/VP will report to the Chief Information Officer and be responsible for the development and implementation of the overall Technology, Systems and Architecture strategy.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Strategic Technology Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the CIO, CFO, and other senior leaders to develop and execute the overall technology, systems, and architecture strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Drive innovation and technological advancement to enhance business capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and drive competitive advantage.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company's business model and future growth.

2. Architecture and Systems Governance:

  • Define and maintain the company's enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Establish and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for architecture design, systems integration, and data management to ensure consistency and interoperability across the organization.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology solutions and platforms, considering factors such as cost, functionality, scalability, and strategic fit.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with directors and senior directors leading portfolios in Supply Chain, Infrastructure, BI & Data Analytics, and eCommerce to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business priorities.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between IT and other functional areas to drive cross-functional projects and initiatives, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

4. Talent Development and Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT and architecture team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Develop talent pipelines and succession plans to ensure the availability of skilled resources to support current and future business needs.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, empowering them to grow and excel in their roles.

5. Vendor Management and Partnerships:

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners, negotiating contracts, and ensuring delivery of quality products and services.
  • Evaluate new technology vendors and partnerships, assessing their capabilities and fit with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.

6. Financial Management and Budget Oversight:

  • Develop and manage the IT and architecture budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and financial objectives.
  • Monitor and report on IT spending and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide transparent and accountable financial stewardship, demonstrating the value of IT investments to the organization's bottom line.

7. Change Management and Organizational Alignment:

  • Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new technologies and processes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement, empowering employees to embrace change and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Foster strong relationships with business stakeholders, gaining their trust and support for technology initiatives and strategic objectives.
