General Job Description

This position is responsible for implementing the Logistic Managers direction of activities of all personnel assigned to the production area. The Supervisor should obtain the most efficient use of personnel and resources to meet Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost-related goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead team members in maintaining safety, quality and production levels as set by the company
  • Enforces Hanwha and customer mandated quality standards
  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting TS 16949 standards and understanding of the consequences of the product/process not meeting the standard or customer quality requirements
  • Coach and lead personnel in Shipping & Receiving area.
  • Work with logistic companies to ensure proper services are obtained and rates are appropriate.
  • Review/develop contracts with logistic vendors
  • Work with production to ensure timely shipments & maintain 100% On Time Delivery.
  • FIFO procedures are followed and products for shipment are properly labeled
  • Handle all documentation for shipments, oversee loads and loading procedures
  • Accurately complete all logistics reports and submit to Plant Manager
  • Reporting of Logistics costs and trends
  • Document and report any personnel issues to Plant Manager and/or Human Resources
  • Assist in the training and development of team members (Material Handlers and Shipping & Receiving Techs)
  • Assure compliance with all policies and safety rules.
  • Process all carrier invoices in ERP/SAP & Manage Customer Portals for EDI Orders
  • Establish and monitor logistics- related KPIs to maintain customer satisfaction as well as internal production/shipping efficiency
  • Communicate with vendors and forwarder to monitor on-time pickup and delivery of goods
  • Communicate with customers and carriers to monitor on-time pickup and delivery of goods
  • Warehouse management
  • Participate in month end closing and inventory balance/management activities
  • Report in/out raw materials and merchandise on a monthly basis.


Required Education and Experience

  • High school Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Logistics.
  • Must have good verbal and written skills.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Computer skills including Excel and Word.
  • Driving test will be given for forklift skills.
