The Role:

As an expert in Microsoft Great Plains the Information Systems Manager will oversee the operational activities of the ERP platforms supporting Durex Industries. The IS Manager will work closely with IT Directors and Senior Management to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. The IS Manager should be comfortable with a high-visibility role in Information Technology with a proven track record of results.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including key business area owners, other IT professionals, & IT vendors to align solutions and service delivery with business goals.
  • Great Plains System Management:
    • Provide strategic guidance in the support and maintenance of Great Plains (GP).
    • Ensure that all operational transactions are captured accurately and interfaced timely while maintaining data integrity.
    • Administer GP system to ensure a secure and stable application.
    • Maintain interfaces between custom ERP applications and GP.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage GP capabilities in support of business goals and objectives.
    • Improve and expand IS reporting capabilities.
    • Understand the processes of various corporate and operational departments within the company to translate those needs into solutions.
    • Support the corporate and operations users when issues arise with their systems and work with the users to understand the issues.
    • Identify gaps between current and future state of business processes and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
    • Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, and ways to remain compliant with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Service Delivery:
    • Identify trends and proactively resolve gaps, researching and resolving system problems.
    • Foster a celebrated customer experience delivering a right-sized support model through an internal team supplemented with outsourced partners.
    • Train and develop team members on new processes/functionality and delegate the training of new system users.
  • Governance & Continuity
    • Ensure GP processes (change control, access, ect.) adhere to corporate G3 controls.
    • Own end to end application lifecycle of core systems ensuring necessary upgrades are planned and executed.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) is required;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues;
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to listen and engage with all levels of stakeholders (internal and external to a project);
  • Excellent oral/written communication, which brings clarity and precision at all levels within the organization;
  • Customer and results-oriented mind-set;
  • Organizing and planning skills with a strong eye for detail;
