Automation Technician

Position: On-Site Automation Technician

Openings: 1 for 2nd Shift

Shifts (Hours & Days):

• 2nd Shift = 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM (Wednesday to Saturday)
• First 3 -4 weeks training will be done Mon- Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. After this time frame they would be moved to their shifts assigned shift.

Location: Phillipsburg, New Jersey 08865

PR: $29-30/Hour Max

Length: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Description

• Insight Global's client in the Material Handling industry is searching for Level 2 Automation Technicians that will be focused on the troubleshooting and maintenance of the material handling equipment. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems by using advanced troubleshooting skills
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using technical drawings
• Performance of preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and prevent unsafe working conditions
• Leading troubleshooting efforts for complex equipment issues
• Train & mentor Level 1 Automation Technician colleagues
• Develop & implement preventative maintenance programs
• Update standard operating procedures and technical documentation
• Interface & partner with engineering teams regarding design changes & upgrades
• Documentation of maintenance activities & repairs
• Follow all internal and OSHA safety standards

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of Technician or Mechanic experience working in the material handling, electrical, mechanical, or automotive industries
• 2+ years of experience with technical troubleshooting and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller)

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platform or software
