Are you passionate about veterinary medicine and animal care? Our client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Health Care Technician to support laboratory animal populations under the supervision of an Animal Resources Veterinarian or Senior Animal Health Technologist.


In this dynamic role, you'll:

  • Assist in preventive medicine programs, including physical exams, vaccinations, disease control, and dental prophylaxis
  • Support environmental enrichment programs for all species
  • Help maintain an aseptic surgical suite, providing pre-, peri-, and post-operative care, including anesthesia, pain management, and wound care
  • Participate in health rounds for large and small animals, reporting abnormalities to the veterinary team
  • Collect specimens and submit samples for diagnostic analysis
  • Administer basic veterinary medical treatments under supervision
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and maintain accurate records


What We're Looking For:

  • Ability to triage clinical cases, identify abnormal presentations, and calculate/administer medications
  • Proficiency in veterinary diagnostic equipment and medical record keeping
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of animal welfare regulations
  • Proficiency with MS applications and medical terminology


Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Animal Health Technology (or equivalent program)
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with veterinary procedures
  • AALAS certification is a plus


This role requires flexibility, including some weekend, holiday, and off-hour work.
