Job Description
We are looking for a full-time licensed architect who is willing to work for a growing Residential and Commercial design services business. This position will report to the Design Manager and will be accountable for achieving specific revenue goals. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, has strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and has a strong attention to detail and organization. Previous experience working in a small to medium business environment is a plus.
Job Duties:
Design and Planning
Collaborate with clients and the design team to conceptualize and develop architectural solutions that meet project objectives, aesthetic requirements, and budget constraints. Create design presentations and construction drawings.
Project Management
Oversee project development, including coordinating with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Regulatory Compliance
Stay current with local building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements. Ensure that project designs meet all relevant regulations and obtain necessary permits.
Construction Administration
Provide on-site support during construction to ensure that the project is executed according to design specifications and quality standards. Resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
Client Communication
Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Sustainability
Integrate sustainable and environmentally friendly design principles into projects whenever possible. Stay informed about industry best practices for sustainable architecture.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with other architects, designers, engineers, and internal support staff to ensure seamless project execution.
Production
Track and achieve production goals related to active projects.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Registered Architect with a valid NC license.
Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in architectural design and project management.
Design Skills: Strong design and visualization skills, with a portfolio showcasing a variety of project types.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in AutoCAD. (Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite are a plus.)
Sustainability: A commitment to sustainable design principles and the ability to integrate them into projects as applicable.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
