Desired Skills/Experience:

  • For senior opening – 5 years of experience
  • For mid-level opening – 3 years of experience
  • Minimum Interim Secret Clearance required
  • Understanding of Radars and RF spectrum
  • Experience with Matlab or Simulink
  • Experience with Python, C++, or Java scripting
  • Bachelors Degree in STEM (EE, Physics, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, or similar) - if no degree, 7+ years of professional experience for mid-level opening and 9+ years of experience for senior-level opening


Plusses:

  • Modeling and Simulation experience (any M&S frameworks)
  • Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with foreign threat radars
  • Knowledge of RF Antennas or track filters
  • Masters Degree or higher


Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a Signal Processing Engineer to join a leading defense contracting firm in Dayton, OH. You will be utilizing signal processing skills to develop technology used to support a warfighter and maintain national security. This team’s mission involves breaking down USAF challenges and communicates results of work to USAF leadership. As a Signal Processing Engineer, you will understand complex systems and assist in modeling foreign threat radars, antennas, and communication systems. We are seeking an engineer who can perform detailed analyses, evaluate detectability of airborne systems, and survivability analyses of threat systems and platforms to be deployed in future combat scenarios. This modeling and simulation team performs a variety of classified analyses of future threat and platform concepts for the DoD and develops detailed models and simulations required.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analyses
  • Develop radar and antenna models
  • Perform modeling and simulation tasks in Fortan, C++, Matlab, and Simulink
  • Determine tactics, techniques, and procedures to improve survivability and vulnerability against foreign threat systems
  • Assist in making informed decisions for the acquisition of future systems
  • Will be operating models, verifying models, looking at intel behaviors
  • Involved with client interactions/preparing to client meetings
  • Will be getting into the code to create functions, debug, edit, etc.
