This role involves planning, laying out, fabricating, assembling, and installing equipment and products. The position also supports the quality, service, and engineering departments, while providing guidance, instruction, and leadership to a team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


- Interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence and methods for fabricating, modifying, and assembling products.

- Assemble products using bolts, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, or bonds as necessary.

- Assemble and wire granulate feed systems, prototype units, and initial builds; modify components as directed by engineering.

- Construct systems and assemble components based on blueprints.

- Travel to customer sites for system installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

- Inspect assemblies and installations to ensure they meet specifications.

- Move components that are too large or heavy with appropriate equipment.

- Set up and manage trade show booths, including assembly, packaging, shipping, setup, and teardown.

- Organize and maintain hand and power tools, as well as other equipment used in assembly and fabrication.

- Conduct service calls at customer facilities for troubleshooting and repairs.

- Provide start-up assistance for engineered systems or major components at customer locations.

- Conduct tests on complete units and components under operating conditions as needed.

- Schedule and set up lab testing of components or materials and customer demonstrations.

- Maintain lab equipment and keep the lab area organized and free of safety hazards.

- Perform receiving inspections as needed.

- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and participate in the Safety Committee.

- Train and address questions from workers regarding procedures, equipment operation, and workflow.

- Oversee and provide guidance to workers engaged in production assemblies, system installations, customer service visits, and lab tests.


Education and/or Experience:


- Technical Training (community or trade school) preferred.

- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- High School diploma required.


Working Hours:


- First Shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break. Occasional overtime may be required.

- Approximately 15-30% travel within the US, Canada, and Mexico.
