Key responsibilities

Central to the position is to set high personal and professional standards, and to ensure the highest level of customer service is at the forefront of course delivery. In addition to delivering training courses, the role requires proactive contribution to product development and own personal development.

• Teach both accredited and non-accredited Marine courses which primarily focus on Dynamic Positioning, Power Management, and Stability.
• Preparation related to the given site, be it remote/on-line, on site or at our training center i.e. classrooms, equipment, materials and risk assessment in proper time before courses are scheduled to start.
• A proactive approach to researching new legislation from relevant accreditation companies and performing quality control assessments of our courses, conducting corrective actions, and leading change.
• Serve as SME for Marine operations.
• Provide Commercial team and Operations Manager feedback and SME experience on an as-needed basis.
• Ensure adequate feedback and assessment are provided to clients and students upon course completion.
• Participate in audit preparations conducted by applicable accreditation companies.
• Operate and maintain different OEM marine simulation equipment to provide tailormade training for clients.
• Coordinate with simulation vendors to ensure the utility of marine simulators and the proper interface between marine and drilling simulations.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain marine courses for clients.

We are looking for

We are looking for a person with experience in delivering Dynamic Positioning courses. We anticipate that you will have an appropriate level of hands-on experience and the following qualifications:

• Minimum of five years industry experience in offshore marine operations or equivalent experience with Dynamic Positioning and job functions.
• Minimum of 2 years in offshore drilling related operations.
• Experience as Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator or related job skill/knowledge.
• Unlimited Nautical Institute DP certificate
• DPO certificate.
• USCG Engineering Management Level Merchant Mariner Credential/License or higher and ability to obtain USCG approval to teach coursework assigned to the position.
• Must be highly self-motivated with customer service skills.
• Experience with adult teaching presenting to a multi-cultural audience is preferred, but not required.
• IT skills and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to operate a high-fidelity simulator.
• A structured way of working, showing attention to detail, regimented mindset.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
• Ability and willingness to travel to our remote locations locally and globally.
