The client is seeking a passionate Data Engineer to join their Data Development team in Chicago. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust ETL pipelines to integrate and process data from various sources. You will also design scalable data warehouse architecture to support reporting, analytics, and decision-making for the organization. Additionally, you will be tasked with streamlining data processing workflows and automating data quality checks and report generation. A strong interest and understanding of financial markets would be a great plus for this position. This is a full-time exempt role reporting directly to the Head of Data Engineering. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies and contribute to the growth of the client's data product.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and support.
  • Build critical data pipelines for our trading platform with an emphasis on automation.
  • Research, understand various financial data sets and/or historical trading.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years in a data engineering role
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, WPF, SQL, AWS, Airflow
  • AWS cloud computing experience
  • Experience in data management and ETL pipelines is a plus
