We are urgently hiring a Paralegal for a Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy boutique law firm. This position provides great flexibility and could accommodate a part-time or full-time schedule. Ideally around 30 - 40 hours per week.
Sample Responsibilities of the Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy Paralegal
- Understand replevin process and key milestones to a replevin legal action with focus on personal property
- Prepare replevin legal documents for attorneys to review and execute
- Review, organize, and summarize case materials.
- Conduct legal research and investigations as needed and directed.
- Responsible for docketing, calendaring, drafting pleadings and motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents in State and Federal Court.
- Monitoring bankruptcy dockets and email notifications
Minimum and Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
- Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required
- at least 1+ year of Creditor Rights’ or Bankruptcy Paralegal experience in a law firm
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, and other legal software
- Proficiency in CM/ECF Filing
- Working knowledge of State and Federal court systems and the ability to understand and follow Local, State and Federal Rules of court
- Detail oriented
