Our client is a company that manufactures and develops automation solutions for diverse range of industries, including pick/place, rotary tables/units, gantry systems, robotics, and linear axes. The company offers great work/life balance (including a generous PTO package), good benefits, and is growing rapidly.


They are hiring for a controls engineer, based out of their Willoughby facility. The person in this position will wear many hats: programming, troubleshooting, customer service, project management/design, product support, training, assisting salespeople, and more.


Responsibilities

  • Programming PLCs, drives, and other controls
  • Pre-sales and design engineering
  • Controls troubleshooting
  • Travel to customer sites up to 25%- mostly local to Cleveland Metro


Qualifications

  • Experience programming/updating/troubleshooting PLCs (preferably Rockwell Studio 5000)
  • Experience with VFDs (preferably Rockwell)
  • Fluent in English
  • Comfortable working with salespeople and customers
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus
