Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg is comprised of 11 physicians and 8 Advanced Practice Providers. We are the largest GI group in the Fredericksburg area, and continuing to grow. We are looking for a Physician Assistant to join our group and serve as a member of a Care Team in partnership with their Supervising Physician.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Fredericksburg, VA. As a Physician Assistant at Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg, you will be responsible for providing healthcare services under the supervision of a physician. Your day-to-day tasks may include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing medical conditions, creating treatment plans, prescribing medication, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. While the role is primarily office-based, the Physician Assistants of the practice do share responsibility for supporting the inpatient service on a rotational basis.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Excellent knowledge of medical principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
