The Associate General Counsel, Transactions will provide legal and strategic advice for the company's rapidly growing transactional business, negotiating a variety of complex transactions.


Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating transactions and drafting a wide range of transactions documents
  • Act as the strategic legal advisor on large insurance and reinsurance transactions
  • Serve as the lead advisor on regulatory matters affecting the business
  • Serve as legal lead on developing and implanting best practices of a growing organization
  • Work cross-functionally across the business with the business deal team, legal team, and leadership team


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree (JD) and 5+ years of experience in law, preferably including financial services
  • In-House experience
  • Experience with insurance and reinsurance transactions preferred
  • Experience working independently or acting as the lead when negotiating complex transactions
  • Superior negotiation, communication, and drafting abilities
