ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a leading educational and healthcare institution, dedicated to making a significant impact through its research, education, and patient care initiatives. They are seeking an experienced Annual Giving Copywriter to join their team and help amplify the support of their community of donors, creating lasting change through effective storytelling and compelling appeals.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop persuasive and engaging content for annual giving campaigns, ensuring alignment with the client’s mission and fundraising goals.
- Write and edit copy for various channels, including direct mail, email, social media, and websites, tailored to specific donor segments.
- Work closely with the annual giving and marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all fundraising initiatives.
- Conduct research and identify impactful storytelling opportunities that showcase the outcomes and importance of donor contributions.
- Analyze campaign performance, using data to refine messaging and optimize future campaigns aimed at increasing donor participation and gift size.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of fundraising content.
- Test and optimize messaging through A/B testing and data-driven insights.
- Edit and proofread all copy to maintain clarity, accuracy, and consistency with brand voice.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in nonprofit or fundraising contexts.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to craft compelling, donor-centric messages that drive engagement and contributions.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify key storytelling opportunities.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools.
- Experience with A/B testing and using performance metrics to optimize content.
