Job Overview:

We are seeking a Hardware Technician to join our client’s team in The Colony, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and supporting test benches and vehicle environments to evaluate the functionality and performance of vehicle head units and their interactions with other components. Your expertise will help ensure robust system testing through the entire product evaluation life cycle, driving continuous improvement and standardization within the process.


Key Responsibilities:

Test Bench & Vehicle Setup: Prepare and maintain test benches and retrofit vehicle environments to support various system evaluations, including functional, combination, high-load, and performance testing.

Design & Modification: Design or source required parts and conversion equipment to evaluate head unit interactions with vehicle components, ensuring thorough testing and validation.

Evaluation Support: Assist the evaluation team throughout the product lifecycle, including planning, execution, lab and equipment management, and post-test maintenance.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize processes during the evaluation phase to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in vehicle system testing, evaluation, or a related field.

Strong understanding of automotive electronics, head unit systems, and their integration with vehicle components.

Experience in test bench setup and maintenance, as well as retrofit vehicle environments.

Ability to design or source necessary testing equipment and parts.

Proven ability to support system testing across multiple phases, from planning to execution.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
