Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to lead our EVSE Test Equipment product line. This role is pivotal in driving product strategy, managing customer relationships, and navigating the regulatory landscape. You will be directly interfacing with our engineering, marketing, sales, operations and finance team. The successful candidate will balance responsibilities across sales, government relations, and product development, with a primary focus on serving state weights, measures regulators and will report to the Senior VP of Sales.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Spend 40% of the time based in our Bristol, PA office, coordinating with internal teams and managing product development activities.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of the product roadmap for EVSE Charger Test Equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and marketing teams to refine product features based on customer feedback and market trends.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for product innovation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with state weights and measures regulators, ensuring our products meet their specific needs.
- Lead product demonstrations, technical presentations, and sales negotiations to secure contracts and expand market share.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the regulatory space.
- Represent the company in meetings with state and federal regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
- Advocate for policies and standards that promote the accuracy and reliability of EVSE chargers.
- Travel approximately 60% of the time to meet with customers, attend industry events, and engage with regulators across the United States.
- Stay informed about legislative and regulatory developments that impact the EVSE industry and proactively adjust strategies as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, public Policy, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, sales, or government relations, preferably within the EVSE, automotive, or test equipment industries.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments, particularly those related to state weights and measures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel for conferences and meetings for existing and potential customers.
