Construction Superintendent

• 3+ Years of Superintendent Experience in Commercial and/or Medical Interiors.
• Experience with email and Procore, or similar software used for marking up drawings, and tracking RFIs and Punchlist.
• Proficient in reading architectural and MEP drawings and specification to ensure that the job is being built per the approved permit plans.

Liberty Construction is a commercial construction company based in Rockville MD, specializing in interior build-outs of medical practices. We are looking to hire a full-time superintendent for our upcoming office projects in Woodstock, VA. However, a majority of our projects are in the DC- Northern VA areas.

As a Superintendent you are eager to learn more in a role that puts you in fast-moving projects (less than 100 days) with very high-end finishes needing quality control and close attention to the details in the design drawings. Each of your projects are assigned one office PM to work alongside the site superintendent. You will hold the responsibility of the sole leader of pushing work forward every day and daily supervision and management of layout, work in place and inspections. Accountability and communication skills are a must for anyone considering this position. The role involves handling one to two projects at a time (depending on proximity and schedule), and candidates considering this position must have his/her own transportation to get to the job. This is a permanent W2 employee position with eligibility for healthcare benefits and PTO. Employees receive a fixed personal vehicle stipend, added to each paycheck to cover fuel and maintenance costs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Excellent communication abilities, including ability to write technical emails to architects and Owners
• Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices
• In-depth understanding of local, state and federal construction code.

Experience:

• Commercial Superintendent: 3 years (Required)
• Interior Fit Outs: 2 years (Required)
• Healthcare Projects: 1 year (Preferred)
