Job Summary:

The Wealth Planner is responsible for delivering a comprehensive financial planning experience to high-net-worth clients and prospects. The Planner will collaborate with Relationship Managers to acquire and deepen client relationships by increasing engagement through planning. This role involves supporting prospect engagements, providing risk management, estate and wealth transfer planning, and addressing specialized planning needs such as portfolio management, executive compensation, and business succession planning. Additionally, the Planner will contribute to internal and client-facing content development and work with various leaders and strategists to prepare, deliver, and implement financial advice.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the financial planning expert in prospect, client, and key meetings.
  • Lead advanced planning conversations with clients and prospects on wealth management priorities.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to proactively engage clients on life milestones, wealth planning, and other opportunities.
  • Partner with Fiduciary, Insurance, and Investment teams to deliver the financial planning experience to clients and key stakeholders.
  • Provide in-market support and coaching to Relationship Managers to improve their planning skills.
  • Work with leadership and partners to develop Relationship Manager capabilities focused on essential planning priorities.
  • Support internal and external planning content development projects.
  • Contribute thought leadership on financial planning topics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including adhering to all relevant policies and acting ethically and in clients’ best interests.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience (required)

Experience Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning, providing advice to affluent clients (required)
  • 3+ years of experience providing advice to high-net-worth clients (preferred)

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (required)

Tactical Skills:

  • Expertise in goals-based planning, including discovery, plan development, and delivery.
  • Ability to coach advisors through the planning process, both technically and consultatively.
  • Experience in modeling estate, wealth transfer, multi-generational, and liquidity event scenarios.
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools (software); experience with MoneyGuide or similar platforms preferred.
  • Proven experience working with high- and ultra-high-net-worth families.
  • Strong team player and collaborator, responsive and effective in partnerships.
  • Experience working with CRM tools.
