Key Performance Objectives:

Within the first 30 days, the candidate will understand the company's existing IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, and hardware. By the end of this period, the candidate should be able to conduct a comprehensive assessment and report on the current state of IT operations, identifying immediate areas for improvement and setting priorities for the next 60-90 days.


Within the first 60-90 days, the candidate will develop and implement a short-term action plan to address critical IT needs, such as enhancing network performance, optimizing existing processes, and ensuring seamless operation of essential IT functions.


The candidate will provide ongoing oversight and technical support within the first year and beyond.


Major Challenges:

The candidate will face several challenges in achieving these KPOs, including navigating the complexities of the existing IT infrastructure, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during system upgrades. Additionally, staying updated with rapidly evolving technologies and making strategic decisions that balance innovation with cost-effectiveness will be critical.


Work Environment:

The candidate will work in a collaborative team environment that values innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Relevant tools and technologies include a mix of legacy systems and modern IT solutions, with a strong focus on network security and performance optimization.


Process of Success:

1. First 30 Days: Conduct a thorough assessment of the current IT infrastructure, identify immediate areas for improvement, and present a report to executive management.

2. Next 60-90 Days: Develop and implement a short-term action plan to address critical IT needs, focusing on network performance and process optimization.

3. First Year: Manage and maintain technology upgrades and provide ongoing technical support to ensure smooth operation and user proficiency.


General Responsibilities:

•Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

•Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration

•Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

•Setup of user accounts

•Track and maintain hardware and software inventory

•Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions

•Continuously analyze current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement

•Maintain information security

•Prepare cost-benefits analysis when upgrades are necessary to determine vendors are offering the best possible service for the price

•Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed

•Develop and execute disaster procedures and maintain data backups

•Must be able to move computers and peripherals physically

•Ability to work after regular business hours when needed

•Monitors network utilization and performance, implement procedures for network optimization, reliability, and availability
