Role Overview:
The HSE Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our health, safety, and environmental standards. This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can effectively communicate safety protocols across all levels of the organization, from shop floor to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement safe working techniques and reinforce safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Provide daily guidance on EHS programs.
- Coach employees on safety behaviors to achieve zero incidents.
- Advise, assist, and audit line management on EH&S policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement solutions to hazardous conditions.
- Investigate potential losses and develop prevention plans.
- Prepare and maintain environmental and regulatory records.
- Inform Plant Manager of regulatory compliance issues.
- Collaborate with engineers on safety solutions.
- Guide leadership on incident reporting/investigation.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in occupational safety, science, engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years experience in manufacturing Health & Safety role
- Professional EHS certification (preferred)
- Proven leadership skills in manufacturing
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
- Understanding of industry standards and safety concepts
- Ability to chair meetings and give presentations
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels
- Facilitation skills for training supervisors and shop floor staff
