Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in microcontroller and microprocessor-based circuit design, as well as strong knowledge of both digital and analog board-level designs. This role requires immediate availability and a commitment to excellence in electrical engineering design for a wide range of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop microcontroller/microprocessor-based circuits.
- Create and implement board-level digital circuits (e.g., memory, I2C/SPI devices, ADC/DAC).
- Design board-level analog circuits, including sensor conditioning, op-amps, filters, and power supplies (linear and switching).
- Develop and troubleshoot wired communication interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, CAN bus, MIPI, USB).
- Ensure robust designs by addressing signal integrity, power integrity, and transmission line issues.
- Apply Design-for-EMC, Design-for-Safety, and Design-for-Reliability principles throughout development.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and development.
- Strong expertise in microcontroller and microprocessor-based circuit design.
- Extensive knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and PCBA layout challenges.
- Proficiency in designing both digital and analog circuits.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications (Pluses):
- Deep understanding of wireless communication interfaces (e.g., Wi-Fi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, RFID) from the physical layer to product-level implementation.
- Experience with Medical Device Development under 21 CFR Part 820.
- Experience in CPLD/FPGA/ASIC development using Verilog or VHDL.
- Proficiency with PCBA layout tools such as Allegro or Altium.
