Job Title: Solutions ArchitectLocation: Chicago, IL (Onsite- 4 days per week)Duration: Fulltime Non-Negotiables/Must HavesAWS Architecture Expertise (Top Priority)(Mid to senior level) Strong hands-on experience designing architectures on AWS (patterns, cost, scalability, security, governance).Ability to evaluate AWS services and guide stakeholders in best practices.Experience delivering AWS-based solutions in regulated or enterprise environments.AWS certifications strongly preferred.Architecture Mindset (Not Just Software Design)Proven ability to think and operate as a Solution Architect—long-term patterns, trade-off decisions, standards alignment.Ability to articulate the difference between architecture and software design.Skilled in creating system diagrams, conceptual/logical architectures, and integration flows.Consulting & Advisory Experience7+ years in consulting or client-facing advisory roles.Ability to coach BSAs and delivery teams.Operates well with ambiguity and drives structured decision-making. Business Partnering & CommunicationExceptional communication skills—able to translate technical concepts for business audiences.Strong ability to partner with business leaders, understand operational challenges, and frame solutions.Influential, consultative, and comfortable leading discovery and architecture discussions. Onsite RequirementMust work onsite in Chicago 4 days per week (Mon–Thu).Professional presence for executive and stakeholder engagement. Python/R Technical BreadthExperience supporting or working with Python/R analytics or data workflows.Understanding of how these ecosystems integrate with enterprise systems and cloud environments.Industry KnowledgeBanking or fintech experience is strongly preferred.Familiarity with regulated environments, compliance, and governance.Team FitAble to work within a small architecture team (1 leader + 4 architects).Highly self-directed with strong collaboration and mentoring skills.Good to Have Microsoft .NET experience (legacy or interoperability).AWS Architect or TOGAF certification.Experience with event-driven architecture or domain-driven design.Experience coaching junior architects or BSAs.Exposure to fintech innovation or data-driven product teams.
