  • Diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical issues in both devices and equipment, working closely with the engineering team to resolve complex problems.
  • Collaborate with product development teams on firmware and software integration during assembly, troubleshooting any connectivity or functionality issues.
  • Lead efforts to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance throughput without compromising quality.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior technicians, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to high-quality control standards, working with R&D to address any issues before shipment.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and industry regulations, conduct regular audits, and participate in safety training.
  • Keep detailed documentation of equipment maintenance, production performance, and quality control, and generate reports as needed.

  • 5+ years of experience as a technician in the manufacturing of electronic devices, preferably IoT or consumer electronics.
  • At least 2 years in a senior position.
  • Fluent English is mandatory. Knowledge of Spanish and French is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel between 10 to 20 days a year, with each trip lasting 3 to 5 business days.

Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of IoT device architecture (sensors, wireless communication like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa) and embedded systems. Experience with PCB assembly, soldering, and testing low-power, wireless, connected devices.
  • Hands-On Technical Support & Teamwork: Solid technical background with the capability to assist and mentor technicians in their work. Strong teamwork skills, working alongside cross-functional teams to overcome technical hurdles and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to both manufacturing equipment and IoT devices.
  • Attention to Detail: High precision in handling electronic components and maintaining stringent quality control.
