Vernovis is looking for a Data Analyst who will be involved with, consult on, and lead a number of new and ongoing data-driven initiatives driven by our clients’ Executive Team, and members of management at all levels across many of their business units. Successful candidates will identify, gather, measure, analyze, and help present/distribute deliverables to the appropriate project stakeholders including the Executive Team. You’ll work closely with existing members of the Technology Team (Software Development/Business Intelligence) to acquire the necessary domain knowledge to be successful in your role. You’ll make extensive use of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, utilizing business data to deliver moderate and complex data-driven solutions to the appropriate business units.



What You'll Do:

  • Interface directly with key business representatives to discover the needs of the organization.
  • Utilize several data sources and prior analyses to gather, validate, and sanitize data to ensure the accuracy of reporting and analysis.
  • Discover and identify pertinent relationships between data points for analysis.
  • Create intermediate and complex T-SQL queries, views, and/or stored procedures.
  • Ensure project completion with accuracy and an appropriate level of timeliness.
  • Design, craft, and release reports for consumption by the project’s stakeholders.
  • Utilize appropriate analysis delivery mechanisms (Dashboard, BI Tool, Excel, etc.).
  • Report and present results of analysis to project stakeholders and interested parties.


What You'll Have:

  • 1 -2 years prior experience in data analysis or software development
  • Desire to gain the requisite domain knowledge necessary for successful project completion.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Moderate to expert level proficiency with SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server & T-SQL.
  • Strong familiarity and exposure to advanced functions in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability and desire to utilize and create technology solutions to develop actionable insights and solutions for the business.
  • Ability to organize work and respond to changing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and complete challenging tasks.
  • Analytical ability to gather and interpret project requirements and proceed to utilize those requirements to develop and deliver solutions for the business.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, in-person and remote (phone).
