Role Objective

  • Lead all fleet operations to ensure reliable operation of our vehicles and equipment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage fleet programs.
  • Ensure vehicles are compliant with all DOT standards and OSHA Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the operational team ensuring communication between the departments.
  • Utilize technology to report on equipment utilization and location information.
  • Evaluate the condition of the fleet to determine cost/benefit analysis.
  • Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
  • Manage fleet expenditures within established operations and maintenance budget.
  • Manage fleet expenditures within established capital budget.
  • Monitoring fuel expenses and usage to improve fleet fuel efficiency.
  • Utilize telematics technology to maximize functionality of the fleet and fleet staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry vendors.
  • Maintain fleet compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Must be available for emergency response events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ Years work experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role.
  • Experience in the electric utility industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or logistics
  • High Voltage Electrical Contracting and/or Utility experience
