Tucson, United States Sion Power Corporation Full time

Sion Power Corporation, the global leader in development of a new generation of high-energy, rechargeable lithium batteries is currently searching for a Cathode Engineer / Scientist to be based at its research and development facility in Tucson, Arizona. Covering two decades of research and development, Sion Power has created Licerion® technology that significantly enhances the volumetric and gravimetric capacities and cycle life of rechargeable lithium metal batteries. Licerion® is the future for batteries offering the highest energy density, specific energy and performance.

This position will lead the project to develop cathodes for lithium ion battery systems having world leading high volumetric and gravimetric energy densities based on lithium metal oxide cathodes. The position will require optimization of coating formulations, materials specifications and process development. A qualified applicant will be responsible for developing and specifying new processes to meet cell and battery performance and high rate manufacturing requirements as well as the management of vendors for bidding, procurement, and installation of equipment. The candidate will further evaluate and develop toll coating partners and coordinate coating campaigns. Responsibilities include the development, implementation and management of project plans and capital proposals; project plans to include both short-term and long-term strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
