Key Responsibilities and Main Duties:


  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define system, interface, and reporting needs


  • Design, create, and update database structures to align with system goals. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data consistency across all systems


  • Develop system prototypes based on user requirements and gather feedback for refinement


  • Construct sophisticated multi-user applications using a tiered architecture, including designing user interfaces and web services with technologies like Java, XML, SQL, and advanced scripting


  • Leverage extensive experience with the Spring Framework and its components


  • Optimize application and database performance through fine-tuning


  • Conduct unit testing and create test plans to validate system modifications


  • Provide training on new features and system enhancements to key personnel


  • Develop comprehensive program documentation to aid future development and maintenance


  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and enhance user experience or system efficiency


  • Adhere to departmental guidelines for program changes and ensure code integrity through version control


  • Evaluate third-party solutions for potential integration into new or existing applications


  • Assume ownership of technical deliverables, create project estimates, and monitor progress, productivity, and code quality


  • Proactively manage deliverables in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision


  • Provide on-call support as needed


  • Offer leadership and exceptional support to business units utilizing existing development tools


  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirement


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of application development experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


  • SQL and Database Design: Advanced knowledge of SQL and database design principles using Oracle.


  • Programming Skills: 8+ years of experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and CSS.


  • Development Tools: Advanced knowledge and extensive experience with GIT, STASH, BAMBOO, and JIRA.


  • Preferred Experience: Experience with Apache Tomcat.


  • Web Service APIs: Advanced experience in creating and integrating web service APIs.


  • Spring Framework: 2-4 years of hands-on experience with the Spring Framework.


  • Multi-tasking and Deadline Management: Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities and manage workloads to meet deadlines.


  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to organize, analyze, and solve complex problems with attention to detail and accuracy.


  • Confidentiality: Experience in handling information confidentially and maintaining compliance with policies and laws.


  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff, customers, and providers.
