Overview


Our client sells advanced filtration systems designed for high-solids separation and water recovery. Their products include self-cleaning filters and liquid-solid separators that handle highly concentrated solids in industries such as wastewater treatment, food and beverage, renewable natural gas, aquaculture, and more. Their systems offer efficient filtration, reducing water waste and operational costs, with applications in both industrial and environmental settings.


The Sales Engineer is responsible for developing new sales. You will promote engineering services to improve market reach and sales potential. The role includes designing and recommending sales programs, setting short‐term and long‐term sales strategies and implementing appropriate new sales techniques to increase revenue. The Sales Engineer will develop and implement sales strategies with partners to maximize revenues and meet sales goals. This hire will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the executive team


Responsibilities

  • Generate and close new sales, with new customers, in new markets, to ensure the continued growth of the business.
  • Research the market, customers, and trends to understand why and how customers buy.
  • Provide detailed marketing briefs for new products and markets.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine requirements.
  • Ensure customer happiness to increase retention rates and needs for future account growth.
  • Provide competitive analysis reports, case studies, and market reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience developing engineered product/system sales.
  • Must have outside sales experience.
  • Must have experience working with fluid conditioning devices or a similar product.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be organized, a self‐starter and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Experience navigating and having a basic understanding of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD Engineering Software.
