Dermatology Medical Receptionist

The Patient Experience Specialist (PES), is the first interaction as well as the last a patient will have with our office. You set the stage for our patient care team and providers to create a memorable experience. It is important that the PES has stellar customer service and communication skills.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Treat patients better than they expect.
  • Answer phones, make appointments and answer general questions patients may have.
  • Detecting when patients need to be seen immediately.
  • Checking eligibility and benefits daily.
  • Call patients for appointment reminders.
  • Collect patient outstanding balances, schedule follow up appointments.
  • Return any voice messages on the same day.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years’ experience in a customer/patient facing role.
  • Energetic, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft office, scanning, faxing, etc.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with ability to work in fast pace environment that may get hectic, and ability to work with others.
