Our client, a global leader in the Sports and Entertainment space, has an immediate full-time (contract to hire) opening for a Sr. WordPress Developer. In this role, you'll be responsible for full lifecycle (scoping through maintenance) work on numerous high-traffic websites that are accessed around the world. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience developing with WordPress and proficiency with PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, and related technologies. Advanced knowledge of the WordPress CMS is required for consideration, including the ability to develop custom themes and plugins. Experience with the Git version control system, along with the ability to integrate third-party APIs, is a plus.


Responsibilities:

  1. Full-stack WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development
  2. Technical support and troubleshooting
  3. Collaboration with marketing, design and other internal stakeholders to create responsive website layouts
  4. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and balance immediate needs with long-term project delivery
  5. Understand how to work on DNS modifications and SSL certificates.


Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience developing with the WordPress CMS
  2. Advanced knowledge of WordPress architecture and best practices, including theme development and the plugin API
  3. Proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS and PHP
  4. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
