The position is direct hire, with full benefits, with 2 days onsite in San Diego. The ideal candidate will be proficient in firewalls, routing and switching, wireless technologies, and network management software. This role requires a deep understanding of networking principles, Palo Alto firewalls, and approach to managing and optimizing network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation, administration and management of Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Cisco routing and switches. Juniper is a plus.
  • Wireless Networking and Load Balancing.
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with VLAN configuration and management.
  • Experience with cloud based technologies such as Azure and AWS.
  • Solid understanding of BGP networking protocols and routing principles.
  • Industry certifications in Cisco.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience with network management software.
