Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Layout: Analyze project data to create site-specific plans, making informed design decisions to optimize store layout, including support areas and department adjacencies. Collaborate with various departments to enhance the overall in-store experience and drive sales.
  • Architectural Drawings: Create detailed architectural drawings that balance design and operational needs, adhering to company standards, construction specifications, local building codes, and project timelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Address site-specific challenges during the planning, drawing, and construction phases. Develop creative solutions and communicate effectively with internal and external teams to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Project Management: Ensure the timely and accurate distribution and archiving of drawings and project data to meet construction and real estate store opening schedules.
  • Design-Build Projects: Review site survey data, interpret collected information, and make informed design development decisions. Lead design-build meetings and develop architectural drawings that adhere to budget constraints and store opening schedules.
  • Training & Guidance: Assist in training and providing technical guidance to Store Planners and external consultants. Delegate projects to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Associate’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering Technology, Interior Design, or an equivalent Certificate (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Law Degree (also considered).
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in REVIT and ACAD/AUTOCAD (Retail store and fixture layout experience preferred, but open to experience with an architectural firm).
  • Strong understanding of retail store operations, building architecture, construction procedures, and related codes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in retail design, store planning, interior design, or architecture.
