Senior Audio/Video Techician

We are looking for high level audio video technicians to be part of a team who is dedicated to delivering the best customer experience possible. Union Place | Home Systems + Interior Design is currently seeking a Senior Audio Video Technician and Project Manager to work in our boutique tech styles to textiles company. This individual must have a history of experience with low voltage systems and a strong dedication to customer satisfaction. Projects split between new builds (residential and light commercial) and renovations and exiting home upgrades. We are a tobacco free company. Use of tobacco of any kind is prohibited.

Core Competencies

• Experience in audio/video or related field
• Proficient in low voltage systems including audio/video wiring and principles, video displays, proper cable routing, tools, termination, and troubleshooting
• Ability to analyze problems and develop and implement complex, multi-device solutions
• Comfortable on construction work-site, retro-fit situations and with customer interaction
• Detail oriented and high quality of work required to insure customer satisfaction
• High energy and highly self motivated with a commitment to high quality work
• Ability to lift 50+lbs
• Reliable and on-time performance
• Familiarity with computers and networking principles

Additional Desired Experience

• Experience with Control4, Savant and/or RTI
• A/V Rack Building
• Home Theater Principles
• Knowledge of window coverings - especially motorized
• High level of wireless networking skills
• Security and surveillance system installation and programming

Responsibilities

• Install wire, components, and cabling in both new and existing construction
• Meet with clients to discuss job scope and system usability
• Program universal remotes, alarm systems, and control systems
• Install and configure projectors, televisions, amplifiers, and control equipment
• Troubleshoot existing infrastructures to determine root cause of communication/reliability issues
• Other responsibilities that may be required within the day-to-day business environment
