Leadership: You will guide and support the Transportation Managers at each location. Policy Setting: Develop and implement transportation policies and best practices. Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret large data sets to provide actionable insights for complex business challenges. Strategy Development: Formulate and execute strategic plans to optimize transportation and logistics operations. Budget Management: Develop and manage the transportation financial budget, addressing variances proactively. Contract Negotiation: Manage and negotiate lease and rental rates, ensuring cost-effective solutions. Service Levels: Maintain and enhance service level expectations across all locations. Fleet Management: Oversee the onboarding and maintenance of leased and rental vehicles. Invoicing: Audit and approve vehicle lease, rental, and repair invoices. Routing: Manage delivery routing guides to optimize efficiency. Technology Initiatives: Drive logistics technology initiatives and develop key performance indicators. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization. Process Implementation: Implement new processes and services to enhance analytics, communication, service quality, and expense structure. Standard Operating Procedures: Create and maintain SOP documentation for delivery processes. RFP Process: Develop and execute the RFP process for fleet management as needed. Employee development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Mentor and coach staff providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and career growth.
